Chip in $25 to support Jirair Ratevosian for Congress →

Thank You

When I first decided to run for Congress, I knew it was not going to be easy. After all, running a campaign can be expensive and exhausting. But I knew that no matter the outcome, it would all be worth it. I couldn’t have been more right.

The diverse community that we’ve mobilized over the past few months has exceeded my every expectation. I’ve met Angelenos from all walks of life and listened to them share their stories, struggles, and wins. We attended parades, debates, rallies, and community events. We knocked doors, made phone calls, and texted voters. We spoke with thousands of voters across the city, and I am so grateful for every single conversation and what it taught me about the amazing city we call home.

Although we don’t see a path to victory with votes currently counted, I could not be prouder of how we ran this campaign. From being the first candidate to call for a ceasefire to standing up for the rights of all LGBTQ people, I’m proud of the values that this campaign stuck to even when the going got tough.

I’m also proud of the important representation we brought to all communities that call CA-30 home, including Armenian Americans. I started this campaign because right now a large portion of our representatives on Capitol Hill don’t reflect the diversity that I grew up with in Los Angeles which taught me important lessons and made me who I am today. I’m still going to be fighting for representation, equity, peace and justice for all communities.

So while the outcome might not have been what we had hoped for, I couldn’t be more thankful. Thank you to every person who volunteered, donated, or supported from afar. I appreciate every single one of you.

Sincerely,
Jirair
